"Crap"

This is pure crap on a plate. I didn't even bother to fiinsh watching it - 1.9meg - wtf!? It is stick figures FFS! Terrible animation, terrible violence, crap sound, it was just generally crap all around. At least put some ass into what you produce, I would be embarassed to even create something like this.

This is really quite a cool Flash - it beats the 'another stick flash *groan*' to death, it isn't boring at at all, humour, violence, action, its all there :)
Keep it up man this was a pleasure to watch. Especially since it is only your 2nd Flash.
To answer a few of your questions -
- Hardcore Flash guys take ages making them, eg. Brutality in the DBZ section took 80 hours. That Xiao-Xiao guy probably hasn't seen light for weeks before finishing one of those.
- There is no way to make a working human template thing, at least to my knowledge. All you can do is move the center point of the objects so you can change the rotation easier :)
- You do the tracing behind by having the animation as a separate movie clip, then putting it in the main timeline. Then a frame afterward you put in the same movie beneath it with an alpha value of like 60 or however transparent you want, and so on - I hope u get that.
- To do a ray of sunshine you would use the gradient fill on the rectangle or whatever shape you want there, and then get the mixer panel and set the transparency of each end to like, 40 and 10 and change them to cream or the like.
I hope that helps, I had to ask someone how to do a color fade gradient once :)

Author's Response:

Wow, thanks alot for the help! Because of all the good reviews, I guess I'll make a sequel now.

How To Create A Cursor

"Not so good"

date: August 28, 2002

I don't think this is a very good tutorial at all; like mklijnstra said hiding the mouse then not showing it afterwards really shows a lack of effort on the authors part. Also the code for the clip could have been done in a copyable text box instead of writing 'copy this'. And the text is too hard to read, half the time it goes uncomfortably close to the sides so it is not good to read. That and you probably copied the tutorial that comes with Flash in a half-assed fashion.
By all means do more tutorials but make sure you know what the hell you're doing before you do it - and do something more useful, like randomly placing duplicated movie clips or something.

Author's Response:

First off thank you for your input, all of you. I did not copy the pre-made flash one, and simply Edited it. I was curious how to make it, so I asked my friend (The man who created Nazi Assault) and he told me. So I thought that "noobs" like me, should have a tutorial. I know that the mouse dissapears and it was my first time using the cursor. And could you tell me how to make the text copyable? I will revise this, If i tdoesn't get deleted before, when I know how to make the mouse come back and the text copyable. So thank you

Monkey Madness Revised

"Crazy"

date: August 26, 2002

If I was puffing the magic dragon I'm sure I would be laughing at this for hours! It is a shame the background has to flash so much, if it was like, grey and white flashing or something and was less of a pain to look at, I'm sure this would be a legend of a thing.

DBZ: Fighter (Demo)

"Great!"

date: August 26, 2002

This is pretty nice, aside from the characters floating across the floor before you start flying, it is really quite a feat of Actionscript :) Nice fluent movement etc, even has AI - I envy the AS skills! Keep it up, this game will kick ass when it is done!

That's My Bush Parody

"wtf was that?"

date: August 26, 2002

Well the music was cute - I'm not American so I have no idea wtf it is refering to; maybe it would be more funny if I knew - or less funny :)
As far as random Flash goes that was a decent effort for 150k :)

Author's Response:

That's My Bush was a parody of sitcoms and George W. Bush's presidency by the creators of South Park. It wasn't very good so it got cancelled. But some parts were hillarious. And I'm still wondering how the movie is 161k! The music was 530k by itself. and then add the .fla and such...
