You've taken on quite a challenge here guy! I doubt anyone can really capture the essense of Rimmer, or the rest of them for that matter heh. However I wish you all the best with this, I'll definately be interested to see your finished products! I think the voices are really going to be the make or break on this one, so make sure they're as accurate as possible . Good to see you didn't have Kochanski, she's arse, stick with Rimmer! hehe.

"Alone they all deserve to be removed"
So together, they all deserve it too. When I was new with Flash I didn't submit stuff until I had actually produced something not completely arse. Each of these is like 2 seconds long, it's clearly just practice on all of your parts and doesn't really warrant submitting. I'm not saying you all suck, just you should make 'something' rather than one second aimless crap. The third one had a promising style I think, as did the fourth.

Well,it's not as good because I had shortened the file size a bit much. The jpegs are very choppy, I can tell you. It's just that we didn't add music to the first two. The last two were the best- the artists there worked on it longer and are more patient animators. The third was an fbf thing which was cool (I added the music and choppy background) and I added music to the fourth, too. Besides, I organized it, so I had to spend more time getting everything set up. We also didn't work on this too much. This is a secondary project. I'm doing a much bigger, grander project currently.

I assume you know it's halfassed - but it's so halfassed it's shocking. Cloud going behind the sun, night being a darker version of day (the 'moon' was still orange!). Things like you bothering to animate the dudes hair so it swishes in the wind, yet having the guys arms rotate at the elbow instead of the shoulder - it's just halfarse. That and a lot of the recycled scenes are very boring such as watching lip synced na na na's for like 30 seconds. You had to go and bring a 'lets break off his penis' joke just to really lower the standard, then actually put in the movie 'wtf?' and 'lol' as if we needed encouragement to think that. Turns out, you do need encouragement to think this is funny or random - real random doesn't reek of trying to be random. It appears like you have potential - just work a bit longer, fix the halfassed bits and if you're struggling to animate an entire song, do a short one, or cut it or something. Plots are nice to go with movies too, don't you find music videos which tell a little story are much more interesting than bands singing?

Well, I would enjoy watching your finished product, if you do it. Things you could work on are small details - such as the blood smears behind the zombie thing on the floor. What you could do to make that better is like, use a red hue that isn't on the basic pallet (darker, like blood colour), and put more detail into it, so it isn't clearly just a scribble with the brush at 100% zoom. Hopefully you get what I'm saying - little details really make a movie SO MUCH BETTER. Other than that, I think your story has potential - 'it's a ripoff' aparently but I don't really care, you put your own spin on it and that's right on brother. So much on here is devoid of any plot that this really is a breath of fresh air. If you really want your movie to excel, get someone with some knowledge of correct spelling to check your work first, as almost every sentence I found fault in. The sound is great, keep it up with the SFX they really help a movie (Flash can only hit 2 senses and most never utilise audio properly!)
Best of luck, I hope your action sequences can hold up to the quality this clip hints at. I say go for it guy, I'll at least give it a 4 if it's well done and longer than a minute. Use a faster framerate than 12 too, that makes things look better.

Very nice smooth animation! The blood, shots, smoke and everything were well done, as were the sound effects. For the length, it's a pretty poorly optimised flash movie I think - even at 24fps. I'm not sure what you did wrong there, but yea. This needs a faster loading preloader - that one seems like it's half the size of the movie.
You could make a really kickarse little thing if you put a few more hours into something with a tiny semblance of a plot - sticks tend to do poorly but this is evidence enough that if you did one with this much attention to detail etc. it'd do fine.

Hopefully you're still making flash guy - That was a pretty good start. While a bit slow moving for my taste, it was quite amusing. The only thing that really bit arse was the terrible effort of looping the sound! It went quite well at the end though, and I like how you didn't 'go there' and have the squirrel getting ripped in half or anything, just left it.

Geez talk about an axe to grind guy - that said this animation is actually quite funny - I have no idea what the hell was going on at the end there but it totally cracked me up due to the fact. NG content often struggles to make me laugh, so I gave this some sugar.

That was pretty amusing, nicely done! Shadows on the legs of the sticks, that is dedication to detail. I have no idea how you did the psycadelic kalaedascopes but they were really awesome, you sure know how to use flash to its best! (and worst with that billy bit)

Well I'm rating this four years after the fact (you sure find weird when you go random) but well, I guess people try harder these days heh. It's alright as far as old stick goes.

Not a bad little animation. The fairly simple story was pretty dry and the whole thing didn't rattle my dags at all to be honest. However the animation was at times great, however other times it seemed a little amateurish, tweens too slow, that kind of thing. And the 'cartoony' style of running is fine if you're going there, but it wasn't well executed. The sound effects were appropriate but pretty cutty without music, which would have added a lot to this film. The final shot knocked my vote down a notch - sure, you drew a stripper, but just because it's a good graphic doesn't make it suits this flash in the slightest. Don't let this review get you down though (you'd say it didn't anyway) as it really is a promising little thing, you've got the skill there. An increased pace and a more interesting story with some background music could make your next effort a stunner.
Author's Response:
hey thanks, this was what I call my very first flash animation. It took a long time, and has been completed for quite sometime now, I just needed to re-sync the sound. I hope that my animation has improved for the next one that I am working on. I will keep you advice in mind. thanks.
