[The Abandoned Kitten]

COMPRESS YOUR AUDIO

I don't know why you people find it so difficult to compress your audio. I mean what is this, 20 seconds long at best, and it is 1.6megabytes. Flash is a WEB MEDIUM, so learn how to use it properly! An MPG would have compressed it better! That said, this must have pushed your limits in terms of Flash Animation. I thought I could do a slow zoom, but you've gone over and above the norm with this one (ONE).

Because it's different, this movie should stay on Newgrounds - but it's hanging on through it's subject matter, not the animaton skill of it's creator. Someone should parody this with a picture of Puss'n'Boots, I'm sure it'd do better.

Pretty good

There's some good stuff in this, but there's also some average stuff. I can't really put my finger on it, perhaps there was too much of the same guy running in one place for a lot of the movie, and at times it was pretty hard to understand wtf was going on. This kind of rough style is ok if it's moving so fast you don't really take in how halfassed the drawings are, but you do not move too fast for this. The plot is nothing new either. Just to be pedantic, shouldn't chapter 2 come first, then chapter 1 be the 'five hours earlier' one, kill bill styles? Is that what you meant to do? *spoiler* I also thought there were some sketchy bits such as the guy being able to dodge thousands of rounds, but then being killed by a sniper.

Positive points, the music was great (except maybe amore) and it's clear you have great style. Sorry this is more negative than I meant it to be, I did really like your movie.

Pretty good

Well, personally I don't like people making 'episodes' in which nothing at all happens - but overlooking that, it was pretty good. The motorbike was very well done - almost out of place, so it's just as well those other guns were done pretty good. I think that gun they point at him at the start was a jpg? Whats with that shit?

Good on you for doing voice acting, though I think the highballs voice ruined a bit of credibility.

I did notice the little things that showed you put some effort into this, such as that 3D effect of the streetlights, stuff like that - the blood on the walls was good, it was entertaining - I'd just rather you held off releasing the movie until it was finished.

Yeah but gimme some credit man, thats a 3D modeled raster exported swift file. Thats a hella lot harder to make than one of my other guns.

[The Heist I]

Good Stuff

Firstly, excellent choice of name, it just jumped out and smacked me in the face like a cold fish. Probably because I made a movie of the same name ages ago! :)

Anyway the kindof goth style is awesome - great stuff working it into the flow of the music too! The guy smearing his blood down the window was a nice touch.

The only gripe I have is that I had little idea wtf was going on, as many characters looked pretty similar - you could give one a goatie or something, I don't know.

Excellent smooth animation, cool original bits of action (like the jumping into the passing van) etc, it was all pretty entertaining.

To be frank

I'm not sure what to say. Radiohead is a great soundtrack for this though, good stuff.

And if you're talking about your own experience, I'm sorry - that kind of thing has got to hurt a lot. Deaths fade with time but with your love, thats just horrible and I can't imagine anything worse - I hope you've got good friends! Alternatively if you're making everything up, you're a peice of shit for doing so.

And in the techincal side, you could do the shape tweens better they were pretty crazy - put in shape guides to help it out. Or in the case of the stick man, you could have just moved 6 bits around the screen yourself. :)

Thank you! Nothing was made up, im not that kind of person to make up stuff like that... but thanks for the advise. though there was a reason for makeing him (the stick figure) so bad, i wanted him to look unglued and pretty much not real, also it was easier to do it that way. also in still in the learning side of shape tweens, after all this is my first submitted flash. i hope to make more in the future... well, thanks again!

Well I'm not a big fan of sprite animations at all, so keep that in mind. Your little mushroom guy doing the rapping was cool, but this is very repedative and boring. I know it is tempting to recycle scenes as you get further into a movie, but damn it doesnt make a good movie - you should have cut the music earlier if you can't be stuffed finishing it properly.

The music is it's only saving grace and that is not your own work as per usual Flash animator styles, and there is very little actual work here that is yours, a bit of arm and mouth movement, yipee.

It's not too bad but don't recycle scenes so much because it makes it tiresome, better to have a 2 minute good flash than a drawn out 5 minute thing, that by the end you're just longing for the release of death.

It's not necessarially recycling the scenes. It's making them go further as the song progresses. It's also hard to make it not too repetitive because there are lots of timing issues when making an animated music video.

As for the animation, you're wrong. the arm movement and lip sync were the easiest parts(and making arm movement with sprites is not that easy!!!). The dancing took a lot more, since there were more sprites to clean up and animation to make.

[tribute to Canada]

Rat Arse

For a sing along it is expected the music will coniside with the subtitles. This really let you down! Stream the audio you boob. This is the main reason I give you a two. That and the fact that Americans hating Canada is as stupid as New Zealanders hating Australians - it is rubbish, the lamest type of Patriotism.
That and you pinch Eskimo bob characters, and a general lack of any Flash graphics at all.
I think the only reason this is scoring highly is because young Americans will vote this highly for it's message against Canada, not it's greatness as a Flash.

If you were about 12 years old, that would be pretty good, something to be proud of. However the profile says you're 19. I'm guessing that is crap, though if you are 19, Flash obviously isn't your thing - do something else.

well drawn trex head though, and a cute idea. Would be a great cartoon if you had better graphics and some cute baby dinosaur with cute music and big eyes etc. ;)

this flash is the way it is because I made it to look like that. it was not meant to be anything more then it is and changing it would be stupid and lame. I would be selling out to the idea that everything must be perfectly smooth for the general consumtion of people like you and the others who can't apreaciate imspired art.

[The Reign ep 5-1]

Alright.

I just wrote a yeti of a review here, and I got an error submitting - and I'm not writing it up all nice again, so this is rough -

- The guys shoulders need to be broadened to make them not look like a pansy.
- Noone would give a shit if it is a rip or not if you didnt say it isn't a rip so much.
- You need to work on the sound quality, the starting music lcip was terrible and there were overlaps at other times which is not good
- voices are better than little boxes
- don't use red text in that first box because it is an effort to read, not a good idea to make it hard for your viewers to see your movie.
- cute jokes with the weakest link and the bomb.

It's a shame my other post didn't work, it was kinda helpful probably :)

[Piccolo Tribute]

Crap

This is pure crap on a plate. I didn't even bother to fiinsh watching it - 1.9meg - wtf!? It is stick figures FFS! Terrible animation, terrible violence, crap sound, it was just generally crap all around. At least put some ass into what you produce, I would be embarassed to even create something like this.
